Gareth Hinds is an American cartoonist and illustrator known for graphic-novel adaptations of literary classics, most published by Candlewick Press. His adaptations include Beowulf (2007), King Lear (2009), The Odyssey (2010), Romeo and Juliet (2013), Poe: Stories and Poems (2017), and The Iliad (2019). He renders classic poetry and dramatic verse as visual narrative, and his books are widely used in schools.
