Born to Chinese immigrant parents in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, Jane Wong is an American poet. She is the author of Overpour (Action Books, 2016) and How to Not Be Afraid of Everything (Alice James Books, 2021), and of the memoir Meet Me Tonight in Atlantic City (Tin House, 2023). Her poems have appeared in Best American Poetry, American Poetry Review, Ploughshares, and Poetry. She holds an MFA from the University of Iowa and a PhD from the University of Washington. She is an associate professor of creative writing at Western Washington University and lives in Bellingham, Washington.
