Founding editor-in-chief of Whale Road Review, Katie Manning is an American poet and professor of writing at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California. Her full-length collection Tasty Other (Main Street Rag, 2016) won the Main Street Rag Poetry Book Award, and Hereverent (Agape Editions, 2023) draws its poem titles from the books of the Christian Bible. She has also published six chapbooks, including 28,065 Nights (River Glass Books, 2020) and How to Play (Louisiana Literature Press, 2022). Her poems have appeared in New Letters, Poet Lore, and Verse Daily.
