How to Be a Nuisance: A Collection of Poetry

Born and raised in Southwest Virginia, Cori Fisher decided as a young teen that she wanted to become a writer who lived in a cabin in the woods. She graduated from Hollins University. How to Be a Nuisance, her debut collection, is confessional work on womanhood, mental health, social turmoil and Appalachian heritage, written to be accessible to readers who might need a push to be a nuisance when necessary. She describes herself in three words: poet, editor, Appalachian. A second book, Kitchen Ghosts, an evolving exploration of loss, grief and ghosts, is in progress, its first drafts going to her subscribers.
