A Salvadoran-American poet, editor, and translator, Alexandra Lytton Regalado holds an MFA in poetry from Florida International University and an MFA in fiction from Pacific University. Her debut, Matria (Black Lawrence Press, 2017), won the St. Lawrence Book Award, and Relinquenda (Beacon Press, 2022) was selected for the National Poetry Series by Reginald Dwayne Betts. She is co-founding editor of Kalina, a bilingual press for Central American literature based in El Salvador, and a CantoMundo fellow. Her work has appeared in The Best American Poetry, BOMB, World Literature Today, and Creative Nonfiction.
