Membership FAQs
What are the different membership levels?
The Poetry Shop offers three levels of memberships:
Student: a low-cost way to get a discount on books, along with exclusive promotions
Plus: for the poetry fan, discounts, a welcome gift, and exclusive promotions
Premium: for our most voracious readers, everything Plus offers with free Economy shipping and more choices for your welcome gift
Can I give a membership as a gift?
Yes, absolutely! When you purchase the membership, you will have the option to purchase for yourself or as a gift. If you select gift, you will only be able to purchase an annual membership. Fill out the recipient's information and the membership will be sent when your purchase is complete.
Premium Members: How do I choose my welcome gift?
After you join, a welcome gift voucher code will be sent to your email address. You can redeem that voucher code to cover the cost of the welcome gift, including shipping.
How long does a membership last?
If you purchase one of the annual memberships, such as $49 plus membership, then it lasts for 1 year from the date of purchase and will be renewed when that year is complete. You will get a reminder as that date approaches.
If you purchase a membership on a monthly basis, your membership will renew every month, paid automatically.
How do I cancel?
Find the Membership area of you Poetry Shop account. Follow the cancellation instructions there.
If you purchased an annual membership that does not renew, there will not be a cancellation function. After your billing period ends, your membership will be removed.
I received a membership as a gift. What do I do?
First, thank your amazing friend or family member that got you this incredible gift. Then, claim your gift using the email you received with your Membership Gift. Once you claim the membership, your year of perks will start.
