Erik Wilbur teaches writing at Mohave Community College in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and directs the Real Toads Poetry Society, which brings literary programming to residents of Mohave County. His debut chapbook, What I Can Do, won the 2020 Chestnut Review Chapbook Contest. The book traces a son's relationship with a father struggling with addiction, then the grief that follows his death, and has been described as reading in places like a survival guide for adult children of alcoholics. Poems from the collection appeared in the Autumn 2020 issue of Chestnut Review.
