A Ukrainian-born, Russian-speaking Jewish poet, Jane Yevgenia Muschenetz was granted asylum in the United States as a child after leaving the Soviet Union. She holds a BA from the University of California, San Diego, and an MBA from MIT Sloan. Her debut collection, All the Bad Girls Wear Russian Accents (Kelsay Books, 2023), received the 2024 Poetry Collection of the Year Award from the San Diego Writers Festival. Her second collection, Power Point (Sheila-Na-Gig Editions, 2024), won first place in the 2025 National Federation of Press Women Professional Communications Contest. Her poems have appeared in Whale Road Review and Meat for Tea. She lives in San Diego, California.
