A Canadian poet, voiceover artist, and radio personality, Josie Balka holds a diploma in radio, television, and film from Niagara College and has worked as an on-air personality for major North American media companies. Born and raised in Toronto, she lives in Calgary. Her debut collection, I Hope You Remember (Simon & Schuster, 2024), reached the New York Times and Globe and Mail bestseller lists. Her second collection, Loves of Our Lives: Poems for Hopeful Hearts, appeared from Simon & Schuster in 2025. She built her readership through TikTok.
