Joyelle McSweeney is the author of numerous books, including Toxicon and Arachne (Nightboat Books, 2020), Salamandrine: 8 Gothics (Tarpaulin Sky Press, 2013), and the critical study The Necropastoral: Poetry, Media, Occults (University of Michigan Press, 2014). With Johannes Göransson she co-founded Action Books, a press devoted to international poetry in translation. She is a professor at the University of Notre Dame, where she directs the creative writing program.
