Nancy Miller Gomez holds a BA from the University of California, San Diego, a JD from the University of San Diego, and an MFA from Pacific University. Her debut full-length collection, Inconsolable Objects (YesYes Books, 2024), won the 2025 Paterson Prize in Poetry, and her chapbook Punishment appeared in the Rattle Chapbook Series in 2018. She received a special mention in the 2023 Pushcart Prize anthology and a fellowship from the Jentel Foundation. She co-founded an organization that brings poetry workshops to incarcerated people and has taught at Salinas Valley State Prison and the Santa Cruz County jails.
