A poet, playwright, and cultural critic who grew up and lives in El Cerrito, California, Tess Taylor is the author of five collections. Her chapbook The Misremembered World was selected by Eavan Boland for the Poetry Society of America's inaugural chapbook fellowship. Work & Days (Red Hen Press, 2016) was named one of the best poetry books of 2016 by The New York Times, and Rift Zone (Red Hen Press, 2020) was a Boston Globe best book of the year. She edited the anthology Leaning Toward Light (Storey Publishing, 2023) and reviews poetry on air for NPR.
