About Robert Fanning

A graduate of the University of Michigan and Sarah Lawrence College, Robert Fanning is the author of four full-length poetry collections: The Seed Thieves (Marick Press, 2006), American Prophet (Marick Press, 2009), Our Sudden Museum (Salmon Poetry, 2017), and Severance (Salmon Poetry, 2019). His poems have appeared in Poetry, Ploughshares, Shenandoah, and The Atlanta Review, among other journals. A professor of creative writing at Central Michigan University, Fanning founded and facilitates the Wellspring Literary Series in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. He has also published the chapbooks Old Bright Wheel (2002) and Sheet Music (Three Bee Press, 2015).
