About Candice M Kelsey

Originally from Cincinnati, Candice M. Kelsey earned a bachelor's degree in English at Miami University in Ohio. That degree carried an emphasis on epic poetry, and she holds a master's from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She reads poetry for The Los Angeles Review, mentors emerging writers and works particularly with incarcerated ones, and splits her time between Los Angeles and Augusta, Georgia. Still I am Pushing came from Finishing Line Press in 2020 and Another Place Altogether from Kelsay Books in 2025. Her poems have drawn repeated Pushcart and Best of the Net nominations. She also wrote a parenting guide and a book of essays.
