About Devin Kelly

Devin Kelly earned an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College in 2015 and lives in New York City. His first collection, Blood on Blood, was published by Unknown Press in 2016; In This Quiet Church of Night, I Say Amen followed from Civil Coping Mechanisms the next year. He writes Ordinary Plots, a newsletter that takes up a single poem at a time and reads it for how it witnesses the world, the self and the soul. His essays and reporting have appeared in The Guardian, Longreads, LitHub, and The Year's Best Sportswriting, and he has won a Best of the Net prize. Pilgrims, his first novel, was published by Great Place Books in 2025.
