Darby, Love . . .: (Alive Things Mom Said to Me Before She Died)

Darby Hudson is an Australian poet and artist from Melbourne. His poems were included in Best Australian Poems in 2012 and 2013, and he was shortlisted for the Newcastle Poetry Prize. He published his debut collection, Falling Upwards, through Five Islands Press (University of Melbourne) in 2019. Hudson works in typewriter poetry and aphorism, building a following on social media. He served as poet-in-residence on the set of Adam Elliot's animated film Memoir of a Snail. His work has also appeared in Meanjin, Cordite, the Australian Poetry Journal, and Quadrant.
