About Jessica Fisher

The 2006 Yale Younger Poets Prize went to Frail-Craft, the debut collection of Jessica Fisher, issued by Yale University Press. Inmost followed, winner of the 2011 Nightboat Poetry Prize. Milkweed Editions published her third collection, Daywork, in 2024. Fisher holds a BA from Swarthmore College and a PhD in English from the University of California, Berkeley, where she also earned an MA. At Williams College, she is a professor of English. Her honors include the 2012 Rome Prize, a Holloway Postdoctoral Fellowship in Poetry, and a research grant from the Hellman Foundation. With Robert Hass, she co-edited The Addison Street Anthology. Her translations have appeared in The Paris Review and The New York Review of Books.
