About Kenn Nesbitt

Kenn Nesbitt served as the Poetry Foundation's Children's Poet Laureate from 2013 to 2015. He succeeded J. Patrick Lewis and was in turn followed by Jacqueline Woodson; the Foundation has since renamed the position Young People's Poet Laureate. He writes comic verse for children — The Armpit of Doom, The Biggest Burp Ever, The Elephant Repairman, A Festival for Frogs and My Dog Likes to Disco — and runs poetry4kids.com, a site of poems and writing lessons for young readers.
