About Naoko Fujimoto

Born and raised in Nagoya, Japan, Naoko Fujimoto came to the United States as an exchange student and earned a BA and an MA from Indiana University. Her full-length collection Where I Was Born (Willow Books, 2019) was an Editor's Choice selection, followed by Glyph: Graphic Poetry=Trans. Sensory (Tupelo Press, 2021), a work of graphic poetry. Her chapbook Mother Said, I Want Your Pain (Backbone Press, 2018) won the Shared Dream Immigrant Contest. She has also published the chapbooks Silver Seasons of Heartache and Home, No Home. Fujimoto serves as an associate editor at RHINO Poetry.
