About Imogen Smith

Imogen Smith publishes in lower case as imogen smith, and earlier as imogen xtian smith. Her debut collection, stemmy things, came from Nightboat Books in October 2022 and was a finalist for the Publishing Triangle's award for trans and gender-variant literature in 2023, in the year Wo Chan won. Her second, raw & zero, followed from Nightboat in May 2026. Her poem “smudge” has appeared in Poetry.
