About P Scott Cunningham

A poet and essayist from Boca Raton, Florida, P. Scott Cunningham wrote Self-Portrait as the "i" in Florida (Autumn House Press, 2026), selected by Major Jackson as winner of the 2025 Donald Justice Poetry Prize, and Ya Te Veo (University of Arkansas Press, 2018), chosen by Billy Collins for the Miller Williams Poetry Series. His poems, essays, and translations have appeared in The Nation, American Poetry Review, and Harvard Review. He edited Eight Miami Poets (Jai-Alai Books, 2014) and Ballerz 2K20 (O, Miami, 2021), and created The Miami Trilogy anthology series. A graduate of Wesleyan University, Cunningham founded the nonprofit O, Miami, dedicated to amplifying the poetry of Miamians, and co-founded Jai-Alai Books.
