About Diane Lockward

Diane Lockward founded Terrapin Books in 2015 and is its editor and publisher. The four craft books she is known for are anthologies she edited rather than wrote: The Crafty Poet and The Crafty Poet II, The Practicing Poet and The Strategic Poet, each gathering prompts, craft essays and model poems from more than a hundred contributing poets, and each named by Poets & Writers among its Best Books for Writers. All four come from Terrapin. She has served as poet laureate of West Caldwell, New Jersey, and publishes poetry of her own.
