About Chrissy Martin

Assistant Professor of English at Centenary College of Louisiana, Chrissy Martin earned a BA in English from the University of Akron, an MFA in poetry from Columbia College Chicago, and a PhD in English from Oklahoma State University. Her interests span disability studies, pop culture poetics, ekphrasis, and the poetics of the body. Poems have appeared in Cherry Tree, Crab Creek Review, Cream City Review, River Styx, swamp pink, The Pinch, and Gulf Coast, among other journals. She is a founding editor and the poetry editor for Arcturus and has edited for the Columbia Poetry Review and RHINO Poetry. Her debut collection, Whole, Holy, Hot, was published by Write Bloody Publishing in 2026.
