About Donna Ashworth

A Scottish poet born near Stirling, Donna Ashworth studied film, theatre studies, and Italian at the University of Glasgow. She came to wider attention in 2020 after her lockdown poetry circulated online. Her self-published collection To the Women sold around 100,000 copies, leading to a publishing contract in 2021. Later collections include Wild Hope (Black & White Publishing, 2023) and Growing Brave (Black & White Publishing, 2024). She has ranked among the United Kingdom's bestselling living poets.
