I Made My Boy Out of Poetry is a collection by Savannah poet and author Aberjhani, first published by Washington Publications in 1998. It includes six short stories and fifty poems written between the early 1980s and the late 1990s, blending formal literary craft with the energy of the spoken word movement that gained momentum during that decade.

Before the book's publication, selections from the collection appeared in a range of print venues, from established outlets to independent underground publications, including The African-American Literary Review, The Georgia Guardian, The Savannah Literary Journal, The Savannah Tribune, and others. ESSENCE Magazine later featured work from the collection as well.
