About Connie Post

Connie Post became the first Poet Laureate of Livermore, California. She was sworn in at a city council meeting in May 2005 and built two reading series during her term. Her debut full-length collection, Floodwater, came from Glass Lyre Press in 2014, followed by Prime Meridian in 2020 and the chapbook Broken Metronome in 2023; Between Twilight appeared the same year from New York Quarterly Books. Two earlier chapbooks, Trip Wires and And When the Sun Drops, came from Finishing Line Press, the second taking the Aurorean's 2012 Editor's Choice award. She has also won the Crab Creek Review Poetry Prize and the Caesura Award, and was shortlisted five times for the Comstock Review's Muriel Craft Bailey Memorial Award.
